This has now been implemented in the latest version of Yubby! If a video is already in one of your channels you will see a notice on the video thumbnail. Cool thing is this works across all of your channels! So if you have collected the video anywhere in the past in any channel you know about it.

@Chris: I just wanted to give you some additional feedback on your question. Customizing is possible for some widgets but you will need some programming skills. Check our Wiki to find out more: http://dikviidoo.pbworks.com/Skinning+your+widget
In the very near future we will launch the possibilty to do more customization on all widget but this will be a feature offered to Pro users only. Check http://www.yubby.com/pro for more information about this.
